RANGE OFFICER COURSE FOR NORTHEAST SECTION – March 21/22, 2009
The USPSA Northeast Section is organizing a Range Officer class that will be taught by a certified instructor from the National Range Officers Institute. www.nroi.org
Students who successfully complete this course will be certified Range Officers for all events conducted under the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA). Students must be current USPSA members at the time of the course.
Students will not only become better Range Officers, they will also become better competitors. This course provides students with an in-depth background of numerous facets related to range safety and USPSA match regulations such as the following:
- Fundamental range safety requirements
- USPSA safety requirements
- Detailed rules of USPSA course design
- Step-by-step breakdown of the USPSA course of fire
- Range equipment requirements
- Competitor equipment requirements
- USPSA Scoring Policies and Rules
- USPSA Penalties
- Fundamental work on-range including commands and scoring
The RO course requires a two day commitment. Because of it’s central location within the Northeast Section, the Harvard Sportsmen’s Club will be the site.
